In order to boost social credibility, OBIC has formulated various policies for complying with ethics, laws, and regulations; practices thorough compliance in all its businesses; works to prevent risk; and ensures swift action is taken should such risk manifest.

Human Rights Policy

Based on this policy, we are working to fulfill our responsibility of ensuring that the human rights of all individuals connected to our business activities are respected.

  1. 1Basic human rights and respect for diversity

    We respect the basic human rights and individuality and diversity of each person and ensure that no discrimination or harassment shall occur due to race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, language, age, gender, disability, health situation, or any other grounds.

  2. 2Building healthy workplace environments

    We work to ensure the health and safety of employees and officers and build workplace environments where they can work and grow, both mentally and physically, in a healthy and active way.

  3. 3Respecting and adhering to applicable laws, regulations and norms

    We respect and adhere to laws, regulations, and international norms regarding respect for human rights.

  4. 4Prohibiting forced and child labor

    We prohibit any forced or child labor, including at our business partners.

    We ensure that all business activities are carried out appropriately in accordance with this policy and work to keep officers and employees educated and properly informed.

  6. 6Remediation

    In the event the Company causes or contributes to a negative effect on human rights, we shall take appropriate steps to remedy the situation.

Fair Transaction Policy

We recognize that we have a social responsibility to practice fair business activities that adhere to a high standard of corporate ethics. Therefore, we strive to conduct thorough compliance and prevent corrupt practices through the implementation of this policy.

  1. 1Legal compliance

    We practice fair competition in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including the Antimonopoly Act, Unfair Competition Prevention Act, and Subcontract Act.

  2. 2Prohibiting corrupt practices

    We require all officers and employees to comply with anti-corruption laws and regulations and prohibit corrupt practices and actions complicit in corrupt practices, including the provision of entertainment, gifts, or any other benefits with the aim of directly or indirectly securing unjust gains, regardless of whether said individual is a public official or private citizen.

  3. 3Education and information

    We ensure that all business activities are carried out appropriately in accordance with this policy and work to keep officers and employees educated and properly informed.

  4. 4Compliance structure and operation

    If an officer or employee of the Company discovers or suspects that a violation of this policy has occurred, they shall report it to the Company immediately. We have also established whistleblowing channels that enable reports to be made anonymously and operate these in an appropriate manner.

  5. 5Monitoring and improvement

    We conduct regular monitoring to ensure the structure and operations referred to in this policy are functioning effectively and continuously make improvements.

  6. 6Penalties

    If an officer or employee of the Company is found to be in violation of this policy, they shall receive a strict penalty in accordance with internal regulations.

Procurement Policy

We believe that promoting consideration for social issues and the environment across our entire supply chain will lead to sustainable growth for the whole of society. We are working to build long-term relationships of trust with suppliers through procurement activities based on this policy.

    We focus on quality and cost during procurement to ensure we can provide business partners with high-quality products and services.

  2. 2Consideration of human rights

    We strive to conduct transactions and procurement with suppliers who respect and do not infringe on basic human rights, including through forced or child labor or discrimination.

  3. 3Environmental consideration

    In order to reduce our environmental impact and prevent environmental pollution, we strive to mitigate climate change and protect biodiversity by promoting the efficient use of resources through our procurement activities.

  4. 4Fair transactions and legal compliance

    In our procurement activities, we select suppliers using transparent and fair methods in compliance with laws, regulations, and social norms.

Whistleblower System

We have established a whistleblower system for quickly resolving compliance violations and preventing such violations from occurring.
Employees may report a problem to inside or outside(lawyer) contact points by email or another method.
(Regardless of the point of contact, reports may be anonymous).
The privacy of the person filing the report and other related parties is strictly protected along with the confidentiality of reported matters.
Guarantees are in place to ensure persons who report a problem are not subjected to unfair treatment.
